How Nature Helps People Heal From Break Ups Faster

Being in nature has super healing powers! Simply spending a few minutes throughout a day outside and viewing nature videos or movie scenes can help both your mental and physical health! If you like flowers in particular, I would check out @softlikeflowerpetals on Instagram. There are fantastic colorful pics posted and captioned with interesting and uplifting quotes!

Break ups suck so bad...and that is putting it mildly. When I think back, I wish I had all the tips and tricks to get over my 1st ex ASAP. I learned more of them throughout my self-evolution journey and they have proven to be very useful, so I am happy to share this wonderful info now. Hopefully you or I won't have another tough breakup in the future and won't need to use this nature tip again for that reason specifically lol.

The great thing about incorporating nature into our daily lives is that by doing so we help ourselves with ALL kinds of break ups and stressors that can exist within love relationships, work relationships, and familial relationships (just to name a few)..and don't forget NATURE IS FREE! Enjoying aspects of nature costs you nothing at all and the benefits are long lasting.

BOOSTS A HEALTHY MIND, BODY, & SPIRIT

Exposing yourself to fresh air and the scents of flowers and plants reduces anger and fear; increases pleasant and peaceful feelings; and even lessens some of the symptoms of anxiety disorders and depression. Immersing yourself in the elements can also reduce blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension and the production of stress hormones. Stress is known to cause higher levels of cortisol in the bloodstream. Cortisol is a hormone which can cause weight gain, disturbed sleep, and high blood pressure. If something as easy as a nice 20 minute walk outside consistently, day or night, has the potential to help me heal from a break up, relieve stress, and work wonders on my personal wellbeing... then count me in! Those that regularly incorporate nature into their lives report an environment that enhances creativity, relaxation, and a clear mind too!

PROMOTES LOVE, STRENGTHENS RELATIONSHIPS, & HEALS BREAK UP WOUNDS

Seeing that good ole nature can bring happiness and relaxation into our lives, it should be no surprise that it can also bring us healing and peace after a break up. I am not saying that you can step outside for 5 minutes after a bad break up and then BOOM you are over the jerk (that would be nice though, huh? lol)...but what you can expect is faster healing when you make the effort to get more fresh air and enjoy the beauty that is EARTH. Look for and experience the beauty in everything around you. Even a rainy day can be viewed as relaxing and positive. When any type of relationship ends, sometimes it is easy to feel sad and lonely, however, seeing nature, animals, and all the wildlife in nature reduces those feelings of loneliness PLUS encourages exercise and playfulness, increases feelings of social support, and boosts mood! Remember too that you have to be open to allow nature to have a positive healing effect on you for this to work. If your mind constantly says "this won't work" or is thinking negative thoughts... then you are self-sabotaging and slowing the healing process...as a result, it would be highly unlikely to work for you (at least not very well). You must mentally commit to healing.
